Fresh Awapuhi Juice:
While the juice off the plant is safe to drink, THIS IS NOT FOOD GRADE PRODUCT. For external cosmetics or laboratory research use only. Now that that’s out of the way, the juice is collected fresh and then cotton-cloth ‘squeeze filtered’ and bottled for refrigeration. Testing here with this substance is a new effort, but so far as of this writing we’ve had an amount out for a week now on the shelf and it still appears almost completely clear and smells perfect. Inside undisturbed cones the juices normally sit for untold periods of time, perhaps months even, so it seems a decent shelf life when air-sealed and especially when kept cold shouldn’t be a problem. The plants themselves have naturalized in huge stands as a secluded forest understory and have gone completely untended by humans for unknown years. As of yet, they’ve never even been given a nice layer of mulch let alone any sort of chemical treatment. This stand of plants is yet still truly wild shampoo ginger. Bottles are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Supply flow is limited for now.
